Obituary
Obituary of Joyce Cossoy
Joyce passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, March 19, 2014, after an 11 year battle with Ovarian Cancer.
She will be sorely missed by Ken, her husband of 48 years and her sons Philip and Michael and granddaughters Alexa and Anna.
Our special thanks go to Oncologists, Drs Akira Sugimoto and Stephen Welch who helped keep Joyce fighting for all those years. Special thanks go to nurse Bonnie Martin and all of the nurses in the Cancer clinic whose continuous support and compassion kept us going through both the good and the bad times. None of this would have been possible without the expertise, assistance and caring of the nursing staff of the Chemo Lab. They were some of the most amazing people we have ever dealt with. Very special thanks go to Dr. Gil Schreier our palliative care doctor, who made life to the end as easy and painless as possible. Also to the nursing staff who have cared for Joyce, allowing her to remain in her home until the very end.
Funeral service will be held at Or Shalom Synagogue, 534 Huron St., on Friday, March 21, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. with Rabbi Catherine Clark officiating. Interment Or Shalom Cemetery.
