Obituary of Erna Charlotte Jovanovic

It is with heavy hearts the family of Erna Charlotte Jovanovic ( Nee Wichmann ), in her 90th year, announce her peaceful passing surrounded by her family on Wednesday February 22, 2017. Beloved wife of the late Peter (1986). Loving mother of Darlene ( the late Maurice Cassidy), Marion ( John) and Barbara ( Kerrie ). Special nana to Candace ( Ardelan ), Nathan ( Nicole ), Nicole ( Matt ) and Jovan (Jennifer ). Great nana to Aubree and Rowan. Predeceased by her two sisters Elsbeth (Josef) and Helga ( Ludwig). Loving aunt to Mary (Clifford ), Walter ( Margaret ), Ingrid ( Reinhart ) and Helen. Leaving war torn Europe in 1951 Erna and Peter arrived in Canada with dreams of a better life. Within 14 years they had 3 beautiful daughters and had opened their own business.. 52 years later, Peter's Drive - In Cleaners Ltd is still a family owned business... Mom loved life and she lived by those words. She loved her family, she loved to travel, gardening and dancing was her passion. Sunday evening dinner at Nana's house was always special to her family. We want to extend a special thanks to moms support team at McGarrell Place. A special thank you to her " adopted daughters " Alice and Kerrie and also Senior Homecare for all the special love and attention over the past 5 years and a very special thank you to Dr. Karen Lo. Friends will be received at the Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas Street, London (between Waterloo & Colborne St.) on Friday, February 24, 2017 from 6-9 p.m and on Saturday 9-10 a.m. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 10 a.m. Interment Woodland Cemetery. Friends who wish to make a donation in memory of Erna are asked to consider the Alzheimer's Society. Mom - now you and dad are together again after 30 years...may you both be burning up the dance floor together once again.
