Although its been many years, I have fond memories of Esther (making dinner, being a gracious host) when Stephen and I used to get together as youngsters. Sending heartfelt condolences, Efrem Rone

Ester was one of the first staff I interacted with at Fanshawe College. I phoned her weekly to find out if I had gotten into the Child and Youth Worker Program. She was always very patient and caring. Both my husband and I work at Fanshawe and have wonderful memories of seeing her in the hallway or at the fitness center. She was always a glowing light. I am so sorry for your loss. Your mom was definitely one of those people who left this world a better place. You have a lot to be proud of.

I worked with Esther since 1991 and she was the most fabulous person. From the time I started at the college, I would call Esther about anything and she would always know the answer. I used to tell her that she should be running the college. She was always fun and ready to help any of us. I remember when she was going to retire and she told me her age, I could not believe it. She was so young at heart and so young looking. I will hold our many memories dear to my heart. My sincere thoughts to her family who are likely as lovely as Esther was. I was fortunate to have share a bit of life with her.

Im so very sorry for your loss Stephen . Your mom was a wonderful person who loved you so very much. She talked about how you made her feel better with your stories and your caring ways. Your dedication to her this past year has been amazing. You are a great son. Having had way too much experience with grief these past few years I think I am able to honestly say I know how you feel. Your memories will help to sustain you through the difficult days ahead

Esther was one of the most wonderful people that I ever worked with. She was knowledgeable, kind and patient with students and faculty, helpful in solving any problem or concern, happy and positive. Her smile brightened up the room when she entered. She definitely was a beacon of bright light.

Esther was an amazing force of nature. I had the privilege of working with Esther many years ago and still saw her at College functions from time to time. She had a spirit that will not be dimmed by her passing. Those that knew her and spent time with her know that they were fortunate to be in her life. My sympathies to her family and friends.

Stephen and Marcus, I am so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. Sadly, I am not able to be in London for the service. I wish I could be there for you two. Your mom holds a special place in my heart. We had so much fun at your house in our younger years. I will always remember (and recount the story) of her "Hoshintotins" and that other situation that I won't bring up that involved a dog and spaghetti. Lisa and I send your our thoughts and prayers.
