Obituary of Claire K. Silverstein

Peacefully on Friday August 24, 2007, Claire K. Silverstein passed away in her 94th year. Predeceased by her husband Harry in 1993. Claire was a loving and generous mother to Telsa Balick and Keva and Larry Silverstein (both deceased) and mother-in-law to Rise Silverstein. Predeceased by her siblings Ruth Axelrod and David and Milton Rottman. She is also survived by her devoted sister-in-law Ruth Rottman and her brother-in-law Maury Axelrod. Caring grandmother of Dr.’s Lisa and Richard Balick, David Balick (deceased), Jack and Joel Silverstein, Becky Owen, Rene Roth and Andrew and Richard Silverstein. She also adored her 8 great-grandchildren and her many caring nieces and nephews. Claire was a most attentive and good friend to many in London during her lifetime. She was involved in the Jewish Community for all of her active life. Funeral service will be held at Or Shalom Synagogue at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday August 26, 2007. Interment in Or Shalom Cemetery. Shiva will take place at the home of Rise Silverstein. Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas Street in London is in charge of arrangements.
