Obituary of Robert Ernest Tapson

Passed away peacefully at Parkwood Hospital, London, on August 8, 2008 at the age of 87. Bob was the beloved husband of the late Catherine (Kay) Tapson, who predeceased him in 1996 and the proud and loving father of Nancy Wallace (David) of Callander, Bruce of London, and the late Brian of Kirkland Lake. Bob will be lovingly remembered by his eight grandchildren, Michael, Amy, Brad, Katie, Allison, Madeline, Ian and Michelle. Bob was the dear brother of Patrick (Irene) of London, Stanley of Sidney, BC, and the late James of Canmore, AB, and brother-in-law of Robert Cumberland of Burlington, and Betty Cumberland of Hamilton. Cremation will be followed by a private family committal service. His family wishes to extend their sincerest thanks to the staff of Parkwood Hospital for their compassionate care during the last six years. If desired donations to the St. Joseph’s Healthcare Foundation (Parkwood Hospital) or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
