Obituary of Emily Nadene Fountain
March 26, 1946-November 16, 2019
Peacefully, surrounded by love at Victoria Hospital on Saturday, November 16, 2019, 73 years old. Predeceased by her parents Tom and Margaret Carter, her husband Bill Fountain (1999), brother in law, Lloyd Steinbach, nephews Barry Steinbach and Steven Moore. Loving mother to Jim Fountain, Ed (Mary) Fountain, Barb Fountain, Chris (Sue Miller) Fountain. Loving, proud grandmother to Emma Fountain, William (Amber) Fountain, Katherine (Brent Prouse) Fountain, Colton Fountain, Kendall Fountain. Devoted, and blessed by great grandchildren, Abigail, Aubree, Kelsey, Lilliana and Grayson. Dearly loved sister of Agnes and Sam Moore, Marlene Steinbach, Les and Paula Carter and Stew and Rita Carter. Special and very loved aunt of Jan Moore, Larry (Ruth) Moore, Gerry (Tamara) Moore. Bruce (Colleen) Steinbach, Kyla Carter and David (Jaime) Carter, Candace Carter, Todd (Kim) Carter. Sherry Warden, Tom Fountain, Micheal Gullage. Dear cousin of Kathy Ward.
Emily lived a full happy life, she loved spending time with her family, playing cards, games, crafts. She was an avid crocheter, she was very talented when it came to cross-stitching, she made homemade cross-stitched cards for gifts and donations. Emily also spent time with many friends, from the Hamilton Road Senior Center and from volunteering at Parkwood hospital, where she just received her five year pin for volunteering.
She will be dearly missed by all her friends, especially Arlene, Louise, Rosemary, Becky, Sherry and Jean.
A special thank you to her oncologist Dr. Lenehan, Pallative Care Doctor Dr. Gil Schrier, also all the wonderful nurses on C6-200 Pallative Care, for the awesome care you gave Emily, but also for helping her family during this very hard time.
Cremation has taken place.
Friends will be received at the Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Road, London, Ontario (1 block east of Egerton), on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Memorial service will follow in the Evans Chapel at 1:00 p.m.
Interment of ashes in St. Peter’s Cemetery, London, Ontario.
