It was my good fortune to have worked at the Free Press with Gord in the 1980's. He was always a good friend and a man I admired very much. He was very instrumental in helping me to promote the Brain Research Fund in the TV Times. BRF went on to become the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada. I'll always remember him for his devotion to Marg and his family. I am in Florida right now and cannot attend his service so please accept my condolences on the passing of your father.

Lezlie and D'Arcy, On behalf of Don and myself, my mother Eleanor and brother Jim, I wanted to let you know how deeply saddened we were to hear of your Dad's death. Having grown up with the two of you on Braemar at a time when all the kids played together regardless of age so much of the time, we got to know each other's parents and be in and out of each other's yards, homes and lives, on a regular basis. Your parents were always wonderfully kind, and I have fond memories of both of them. Since moving back to Braemar and raising my own kids, they have also had the pleasure of knowing your parents over the years. Your Mom and Dad always expressed great interest in them whenever our paths crossed, be it on Hallowe'en when I took the kids around the Crescent, or just a month ago when I chatted with your Dad at a neighbourhood Christmas party. He will be missed by all who had the honour of knowing him. I am so sorry that I will be out of town and unable to attend either the visitation or funeral, but hope that Don will be in to see you, representing both the Parks and the Clendinnings. With our deepest sympathies, Joan, Don, Jonathan and Alanna Park, Eleanor and Jim Clendinning
