My dad, Roy Embury was one of Lloyd's school friends & also a co-worker at Jack's. They remained in touch long after our family's moved to California. In 2007, I was back with my family visiting Ingersoll & stopped in at the store to meet Lloyd for the first time. My dad had died in 2000. Lloyd, when he found out who my dad was, promptly gave me a big hug & took me back to his office to show me that he had saved all my parents'letters & photos. He told me stories of Ingersoll & showed me pictures of my dad's other friends & filled me in on each of them. He had a passion for his friends, Ingersoll & its history, his family & his love of his God. I was so honoured to have spent some very memorable time with my dad's best friend. I know why dad loved him so much - it was obvious during our brief time together. May God richly bless his family as they deal with the "waves" of grief to come. You are in our prayers.

It is with great sadness that I just learned of Lloyds passing. During my five years as economic developer for the Town of Ingersoll and Manager of the Ingersoll BIA it was my great pleasure to work with Lloyd and during that time to get to know him as a friend. During our conversations always enjoyed his warmth, his sense of humour, how personally grounded he was and the love he showed for his family. Will be missed.

It is with shock and great saddness that i have just learnt about the passing of Lloyd. I last saw Lloyd a few years ago sitting with his Mom at a restaurant on Avenue Road. In fact I was with my mother(Sylvia) and years ago both our Moms were part of a circle of friends, maybe Haddassah. I reminded Lloyd of a very fond memory from possibly grade 2 at Cedarvale Public. He came to school one day with his Chicago Black Hawk sweater. The first I had ever seen been worn from someone in Toronto. He was always proud of his Chicago roots. Lloyd deserved a fuller life but his legacy will always be remembered. My deepest condolences to the family. Great architect as he was, he will be remembered by me as that little kid with a red Chicago Black Hawk sweater. Good bye Lloyd.

So sorry to hear of Lloyd's passing-he has been a great help to me over time in referring me to Silvert's for my dad's clothing needs. Have always enjoyed seeing him at the dental office, from his hygienist, Kathy
