Obituary of Wolf "Bill" Schweitzer

Born: Dec 25, 1923 in Tarnow, Poland. Passed away after a brief illness, on April 16th, 2012 at University Hospital, London. Beloved husband of Elvira (Vera) Schweitzer; devoted father of Dr. Michael and Adalia Schweitzer, of Hamilton ON; adored grandfather of Shlomo-Eli, Rena, and Esti Schweitzer. Bill Schweitzer was a Holocaust survivor, and was interned at Auschwitz concentration camp; his father, three brothers, and two sisters were murdered during the Holocaust. Bill was passionate about his family, the Jewish people, and the Land of Israel. He was a devoted friend; possessed of a beautiful voice and a beautiful heart; he loved the Torah and the Jewish faith. He will be missed and remembered by everyone who knew him. Funeral service will take place in the Logan Funeral Home chapel, 371 Dundas Street, London on Wednesday April 18th at 2:30 pm. Interment following at Or Shalom Cemetery.
