Obituary of Haralambos (Harry) Kalogirou

Peacefully at McCormick Home, London with his children at his side on Friday, October 30th, 2015, Haralambos (Harry) Kalogirou of London, in his 91st year. Beloved son of the late Panayiotis and Kaliopi (nee Fortis) Kalogirou of Perahora, Greece. Beloved husband of Georgia Kalogirou (nee Zervos). Dear father of Peter Kalogirou and Dora Rzeszutek and daughter Mary Kalogirou-Melzack and her husband Brian Joesph Melzack. Loving grandfather of Baubi Kalogirou, David, Arianna, Georgina and Constandina Melzack. Dear brother of Sotiris Kalogirou and his wife Maria of Greece. Predeceased by siblings Maria Panteleou, Kosta, Spiro Kalogirou and Katina Hatziioannidis all of Greece. Survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews in Greece and Canada. Harry was amongst the first Greek families to arrive in London from Greece in 1956. Friends will be received at Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas Street (between Waterloo and Colborne), on Monday, November 2, 2015 from 6-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 131 Southdale Road, London, Ontario on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Elias Drossos officiating. Interment Woodland Cemetery. Prayers will be held on Monday evening at 8 p.m. in the Logan Chapel. Friends who wish may make memorial donations to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
