Obituary of Marilyn Elaine McPherson
Peacefully, with family at her side, after a brief battle with cancer, on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at St. Joseph's Hospice, London, Ontario, Marilyn McPherson, of Strathroy, passed away in her 77th year.
Loving wife of Roswell for over 57 years and mother of Carolyn (Jim) Waines of London & David (Peggy) McPherson of Dorchester. Cherished grandmother of Brittany (Craig) Browne, Natilee McPherson, Catherine Waines, Julie Waines and "G.G." to Isla & Winnie Browne, Skylar & Jaxon Waines-Hewitt and Julius Waines. Dear sister of Mary Lou (Tom) Rice, Roger Blanchard, Cheryl (Dean) Stewart & Donna (Joe) Knipfel. Missed by many nieces, nephews & friends.
Marilyn was actively involved in her community as a member of First Baptist Church (Strathroy), Ailsa Craig Community Choir, a resident of Trillium Village (Strathroy) and will be missed by her fellow Scrabble players. Marilyn's career expanded from banking to healthcare all while raising her family.
A private family interment will take place at Lane Cemetery, Silverdale, Ontario. Visitation with the family will take place on Saturday, May 12th from 2 to 4 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 20 Centre Street, Strathroy.
Donations to St. Joseph's Hospice, 485 Windermere Rd., London, ON, N5X 2T1, would be appreciated by the family.
