My sincere condolences to Jeanne's family. I have such fond recollections of Jeanne and Sid when CanTRA started in 1980 and they hosted an early CanTRA Conference. Jeanne was a driving force on the CanTRA board and, of course, in SARI. Two lives well lived.

So sorry to hear of Jeanne's passing. She was an amazing, lovely lady. I have many wonderful memories of her and Syd. All I can hope is that they are with my parents, Mary and Sam, having a wonderful time like they used to. Sorry for your loss.

My sympathies to each of you on the passing of Jeanne from this life. As a former board member and advocate for SARI, she had great influence on me. I admired her "spunk", her passion and her determination to reach the vision she had for SARI and to make meaningful change in the lives of those it served. She truly had a heart of gold and a will of steel and made a legacy that will survive us all. Best Regards, Michele Parkin.

SARI raised me. I'd say "I wasn't a student", but I think perhaps I was. Volunteering and working there were undoubtedly some of the best years of my life. It shaped my world view, helped me to become a more accepting person, and brought those who are now my closest companions into my life. The legacy that Jeanne, Syd, and Sari left is a true testimony to the size of the hole they'll leave in our hearts. I am so very grateful for their lives' work and I know I am but one of the sea of people they have helped. Wishing your family strength and support as you grieve through this loss.

Hello everyone, I have been lucky enough to meet most of your acquaintances many years ago through SARI. I am saddened to hear of your mother's passing and know how she will be missed. I was honoured to have known her very well in my teen years. I hope that she is remembered and Syd as well as someone who had a huge impact on many lives. I was an active member of SARI for 12 years and ever since behind the scenes. I am aware that most people know how many lives of people with disabilities and their families have been positively impacted by SARI but I hope that they knew how much they impacted so many of us volunteers as well who pretty much grew up there. It was a most wonderful experience to feel part of their family and legacy. They are both truly missed and loved
