Obituary
Obituary of "Lillian" Kam Lin Wong
Surrounded by the love of her family, Lillian Wong, in her 81st year, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 14, 2022.
Beloved wife of the late Donald M. Wong (2021). She will be sadly missed by Wendy (Peter), Bethe (Brett), Winnie (Jim) and Laurie (Jason). Admired and cherished Po Po to her 8 grandchildren, Braydon, Alia, Gabrielle, Emily, Nicole, Jarett, Jack and Cameron.
Born in China, Lillian arrived in Canada in her early 20’s from Hong Kong, married Donald, her husband of 56 years and together raised 4 daughters.
Lillian worked the overnight shift at The London Free Press for 14 years so she could spend time with her family during the day. Lillian had many special talents which included being a great cook and was famous for making delicious dishes and meals from scratch. As an avid gardener in her spare time, it was not uncommon to find her tending to her vegetable garden until the sun went down. Lillian was a seamstress, making many outfits for her daughters throughout their childhood. She was also her grandchildren’s biggest cheerleader in any activities or sports they participated in.
The annual trips to the cottage was something she always looked forward to because the entire family was together under one roof. The memories made during these trips are ones that Lillian’s family will cherish forever.
You will forever be in our hearts Mom, we all miss you so much.
