Obituary of Carol Diane Thornton (Murch)
Peacefully, at home, with family by her side, on Sunday, July 31, 2022, Diane passed away in her 82nd year. Best friend & devoted wife of the late Jack T. Thornton (2019) for 32 years. Predeceased by husbands James Hardwick (1968) & Bob Fulton (1986). Loving mother of Terry (Heidi) Hardwick & the late James Hardwick and step-mother of Jack Jr. (Ruth), Perry (Lori), Mark (Laurie) & Scott (Joelle). Cherished grandmother of Courtney (Jay), Curtis (Emily), Kristyn (deceased), Cassandra (deceased), Cody (Emily), Colton (Caitlyn), Chasen (Hilary), Nash (Hilary), Zoe, Melissa, Trevor (Courtney), Brett, Clayton & Hunter and great-grandmother of Sophie & Carson. Dear sister of MaryLou (Neil) Dol. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. Predeceased by her parents Carl & Louise Murch.
Diane will be remembered for her artistic abilities and love for drawing/sketching and more recently stained glass. She was a member of the Hamilton Road Senior Centre where she enjoyed fun & fellowship. Diane & Jack were longtime members of the Retreads Motorcycle Club.
A Celebration of Diane's Life will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2022 from 2-4pm (Family Tributes will be shared at 3pm) at the Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas St., London.
A graveside service was held at Forest Lawn Cemetery on Tuesday, August 9, 2022.
