Obituary of Georgina "Georgia" Buzanis (née Peppas)
Peacefully, surrounded by family, at Mount Hope Long Term Care, London, on September 7, 2022, Georgina "Georgia" Buzanis (née Peppas), of London, in her 84th year. Beloved wife of the late Christos "Chris" Buzanis (2014). Loving mother of Maria (George) Tsirimbis of Chatham, Frank Buzanis of London and Bessie (Sam) Theocharis of London; and grandmother of Petroula, Steve, Christopher, Mia and Maggie. Dear sister of Peter (deceased) (Fotini) Peppas, John (deceased) (Toula), Peppas, Antiyoni (Thanasis - deceased) Kyrakou and Christina (Sam - deceased) Sinnis. Also predeceased by sisters Nitsa (Christos) Skourtianotis, Evangelia (Meletis) Giorgiou and Asimo (Thomas) Tabakos. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Georgia was born in Greece and immigrated to Canada in 1958. Georgia and Chris were successful restaurant owners for over 30 years, including the Wellington Square Restaurant in London.
Visitation will be held in the Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas St., London, on Sunday from 6 - 9pm (Prayers at 7pm). Funeral service will be conducted in the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 131 Southdale Rd. W., London, on Monday, September 12, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Konstantine Chatzis officiating.
Interment in Woodland Cemetery. Donations to the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church would be appreciated by the family.
