Obituary of Nell Catherine Maxwell
1930- 2022
Peacefully in her suite at Fox Hollow Retirement Residence with her daughter Heather by her side, Nell Catherine Maxwell went to be with her Lord and Saviour on October 27, 2022.
Loving wife and soulmate of the late Ted Maxwell (2018) and mother to Beverly (deceased) & her husband Gil Boyd and Heather & her husband John Manax. She was a doting Grandmother to Jaime (Sonny), Harrison (Anne), Michelle (Braeden), Connor (Aimee), Erin and Joelle (Nik). She was a very proud "G-G" to her three great-grandchildren, Daxton, Emmett & Maci. Nell was the dear sister of Jim and predeceased by her siblings, Abe (Sheila), Mary (Edwin), Fred (June), Andy (Tilly), and Alec (Doreen). She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews. Nell’s family is forever grateful for the love and care provided to both Nell and Ted from their dear friend Sohad Haj Khalil.
Nell’s faith and her relationship with the Lord was of paramount importance to her. She had the privilege of being a part of the Pioneer Camp family for most of her life. She loved being the camp nurse in the summers at Boy’s Camp, and often recounted stories of the funny interactions she had with the campers. Nell had a dream to start a Christian Conference organization called Women Alive, which God used to touch thousands of lives. There was nothing more important to Nell than to tell people about her Jesus. Everyone who crossed her path heard the gospel whether they wanted to or not. Nell was committed to her faith and to sharing that faith with all those around her. Nell missed her Ted intensely, he was her partner and the love of her life. Though her physical presence will be missed on earth, it gives a great sense of peace to know that they are together once again.
