Obituary of Augusta Coelho
Peacefully, at St. Joseph's Hospice, with her loving family by her side, on Thursday, September 22, 2022, Augusta passed away at the age of 91. Beloved wife of the late Manuel Coelho (2001). Loving mother of Maria (the late Dominic) Mendes of London, Elizabeth "Betty" (Joe) Gubbels of Delaware, & Jenny (Jeff) Leibold of Whitby. Cherished grandmother of Joshua (Chantal), Ardina, Alexandra "Lexi" & Natasha Gubbels, Branden Leibold and great-grandmother of Ethan & James Gubbels. Predeceased by brother Zé & sister Marquinhas. Loving sister-in-law & aunt to many relatives in Portugal & the USA.
Augusta had a zest & passion for life, family & art. Her legacy includes many handmade traditional Portuguese tapestries & embroideries, made with love for her family & friends which will be cherished forever.
Family & friends will be received at the Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas St. (between Waterloo & Colborne St.), on Monday, September 26 from 6-8pm (Prayers at 7pm in the Logan Chapel).
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. George Parish, 1164 Commissioners Rd. W., on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at 1:00 pm (visitation in the church 12-1pm) with Father Kevin Beach officiating. Interment in St. Peter’s Cemetery, 806 Victoria St.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Joseph's Hospice are welcomed. Online condolences can be expressed at www.loganfh.ca
