Obituary of Verne A. Bankes

Peacefully at the Dearness Home on Tuesday May 10, 2005. Verne A. Bankes in his 98th year. Beloved husband of the late Viola Bankes (1996). Dear father of Marie & her husband Gar Hart, Harold & his wife Joan, all of London, and Ed & his wife Wendy of Mossley. Predeceased by son John (2000). Father-in-law of Marilynn. Loved by 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Verne was a longtime employee of CPR. Friends will be received at the Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Rd. (1 block east of Egerton) on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held in the Evans Chapel on Saturday May 14, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Dorchester Union Cemetery.
