Obituary of Vivian Suzanne Karns

Peacefully, with family at her bedside, at University Hospital on Tuesday, September 9, 2008, Vivian Suzanne Karns (Walmsley) in her 80th year. Predeceased by husband Stu (Stewart) Karns, died September 8, 1987. Daughter of the late Ida Walmsley (2003). Loving mother of Susan (Rick) Hopkins of Dorchester, Bill (Shari) Karns of Calgary, and grandmother of Brenda (Andrew) Hopkins of Salford, Ken (Kelly) Hopkins of St. Thomas, Chad (Carmen) Karns of Red Deer & Matt (Allison) Karns of Calgary. Dear great-grandmother of Lauren, Hayley, Quinn, Kennady & Kalynn Hopkins, and Kaitlyn, Karly, Keenan, Rogan & Lily Karns. Cherished aunt of Scott Walmsley of London. Viv is a retired employee of Northern Telecom with over 30 years service. Cremation has taken place with interment in Dorchester Union Cemetery. At Vivian’s request there will be no funeral home visitation or service. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, University Hospital-c/o London Health Sciences Foundation or the London Humane Society would be appreciated by the family.
