Obituary of Stewart "Stew" Struckett
Peacefully at McGarrell Place on Wednesday March 17th , 2010, in his 83rd year, Stewart Struckett of London. Stewart leaves behind his loving wife Shirley (Doerr) of 61 years. He will be deeply missed by his children William, Janet ( Jim) Wilkes and Pauline (Craig) Davidson. He will be fondly remembered by his four grandchildren Michelle, Matt, Scott and Kurtis. Stew is also survived by his sister Grace (Ted) Roberts. Stewart is predeceased by his brothers John, Fred (Scottie), Jimmy (Bonnie), and sisters Joan (Stan) Tuckwood, Dorothy (Len) Chadwick as well as several nieces and nephews. The family will always remember Ken Taylor and Joan Struckett for their visits with Stew. Special thanks to Dr. Ferner, nurses and staff at McGarrell Place, as well as Dr. Trenker and nurses at London Regional Mental Health. A celebration of Stew’s life will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at the Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Rd. (1 block East of Egerton St.), at 1:00 p.m. Memorial donations to London Regional Mental Health would be greatly appreciated by the family, in lieu of flowers.
