Obituary of Martin Van Luit
“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever (Psalm 23:6).” Tuesday night, July 27, 2004, the Lord took to Himself in death Martin Van Luit of London Ontario, shortly after Martin had requested that the 23rd Psalm be read to him. Martin is sorely missed by his wife of 53 years, Pearl. He is also missed by his and Pearl's daughter Trudy and her husband John Krygsman and their children Julie-Anna, Nicholas and his wife Cassie and Elizabeth. Their daughter Margaret and her husband Doug Buwalda and their children Johnathan, Jessica and her husband Sean Box, Michael and Kelly. Their daughter Diane and her husband Jerry Vandergoot and their children Judy and her husband Matthew Hoogenboom, Josie and her husband Nicklas Salomons, Jacci and Edward. Their daughter Carla Van Luit and her children Adam, David, Mark and Michelle Haagsma. Martin is survived by one brother, Henk Van Luit and a sister Dita Van Luit in Holland. He has been preceeded in death by two sisters, Martha Kind and Hanna Valk. Visitation will be held at Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Road (one block east of Egerton) on Thursday July 29 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Cornerstone United Reformed Church, 180 Waterloo Street, London, at 1:30 p.m. Friday, July 30 with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family requests that donations may be made in lieu of flowers to Providence Reformed Collegiate, P.O. Box 114, Komoka, Ontario. Online condolences can be expressed at www.evansfh.ca
