Obituary of Rilla J. Cairns (Crossman)

On Saturday September 3, 2005, at Westminster Hospital, L.H.S.C. Rilla J. Cairns (Crossman), died suddenly, in her 79th year. Rilla was predeceased by her husband David Robert “Bob” Cairns (2004). She was the loving mother of Ann Marie (Willy) Springer, David Everet (Carol) Cairns, Daniel Robert (and the late Sheila) Cairns and Sonja L. (Doug) Sager, all of London. Rilla is survived by nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. She will be missed by sisters Edith, Carol & Barb, and brothers Donnie, Elmer, Cecil & Billy. Predeceased by her parents Sadie & Bill Bartlett and several brothers and sisters. Friends will be welcomed at the Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Rd. (1 block east of Egerton) on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held in the Evans Chapel on Wednesday September 7, 2005, at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Paul Browning officiating. Interment will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
