Obituary of Lorne Roger Murphy

It is with great sadness that we announce that after a courageous battle with cancer, Lorne Roger Murphy of Paul Bunyan Resort, Bayfield, Ontario, passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at LHSC Victoria Hospital, London in his 68th year. Beloved son of the late Lorne Vern & Dorothy Murphy. Predeceased by sister Carolyn. Loving brother of Mary and husband Jim Grant, Peter and wife Janet Murphy all of Dorchester and Sheila Deline and husband Chris Marche of London. Loving uncle to several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Special friend to Dorothy, Carol, Betty & Earl of Bayfield and Jean of Varna. Friends will be received at the Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Rd. (1 block east of Egerton), for visitation on Friday, January 13, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 where the service will be conducted at 10:30am on Saturday, January 14, 2012 with Rev. Canon June Hough of Church of the Ascension officiating. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. A special thank-you to the staff of London Regional Cancer Centre, volunteer drivers of the Canadian Cancer Society, the staff of CCAC, Dr. Sexton, Dr. Nichols, Dr. Winquist & Dr. Palma of LHSC Victoria Hospital, the doctors and staff of Clinton Public Hospital and the doctors and staff of LHSC Palliative Care Unit.
