Obituary of Verlyn Margaret Tiner (nee Hyatt)
Peacefully, passed away, at Victoria Hospital on November 7, 2012 in her 95th year. She will be greatly missed by her son Wallace and his wife Diane of London, grandsons Robert (Amanda), Eric (Tina) and great grandchildren Ivy, Colby and Alexandra all of London. She is also survived by her brothers Charlie, Carl, Jim and Ross and their families. She is predeceased by her parents Wallace and Mabel, brothers Leo, Dean, Donald, Murray and sisters June and Florence.
Verlyn was born in Dawn Township. She enlisted in the Canadian Women’s Army Corps and served this country during World War II. In the mid 50’s she and her family moved to Thorndale area and farmed for many years before retiring to London.
Visitation will be held at the Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Rd. (1 block east of Egerton), on Monday from 7-9pm. Funeral service will be conducted in the Evans Chapel on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Dresden Cemetery, Dresden, Ontario.
Donations to the Children’s Hospital, c/o Children’s Health Foundation, would be appreciated by the family.
