Obituary of Stanley Frank Hodgkinson
Stanley Frank Hodgkinson, of London, 85 years of age, passed away at Parkwood Hospital on Sunday, August 26, 2007. Beloved husband of Iris M. (Comfort) Hodgkinson of 60 years. Loving father of Linda McIlhargey (Dan) of London and Laura Stark (Albert) of London. Survived by 4 grandchildren; Steven (Shakil), Kimberley (Jeff), Kenneth (Liz), Debora (Robb) and 5 great-grandchildren; Ashley, Jakob, Owen, Karissa & Kayla. Predeceased by brothers; Gord (Isabel), Bob (Donna) and sisters; Blanche (Larry) & Blossom (Tom). Also survived by sister Rose (David) & brother-in-law Harry Comfort (Jean). Predeceased by sister-in-law Eilleen Jeffery (Ralph). Stan was a WWII veteran who was in the 3rd Division of the Army Service Corps and was in Germany, England, Holland & France in his time served overseas. Stan & his brother Gord worked together to develop their own successful business, Cammando Chrome Plating. Stan will be greatly missed. Special thanks to the nurses & staff of 2 Perth Parkwood Hospital, Dr. Borrie,family doctor Dr. Bendheim and Rev. Darrell Shaule. Visitation will be held at the Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Rd. (1 block east of Egerton), on Tuesday, August 28, 2007, from 1-2 pm. Funeral service will follow in the Evans Chapel at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Darrell Shaule officiating. Interment in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Donations to the Dementia Care at Parkwood Hospital or charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
