Sumi was a good friend of my mother, Mary Nagata. I remember so many of the crocheted items that Sumi loved to share with our family. She offered to make several trivets which I used in my grade one students to sit on, as we didnt have a carpet in the classroom. They loved their butt pads , which were so colourful......and comfortable! I always knew where to send any spare wool I had, as I know it was put to great use! My condolences to all of you, with the passing of a very special lady.KL

We are so sad to hear of Sumiye's passing. She was a generous, supportive and loving person and a great Auntie to my family and me. I will always remember the many thoughtful surprise gifts she made or found for us. We will miss her kind spirit. - Steven Nunoda and family.
