Lone was a family friend for some 62 years, She was indeed a special, kind, loving lady. First Kate and now her, it leaves a big hole in my heart. She will be remembered not only with tears but also with laughter and good times we shared.

Mom; You taught me how to be a good man. You showed me what true and unconditional love was. You showed me how to be selfless and compassionate with others. You were my biggest supporter; whether it be the silly simple things like successes in work, but also for the important milestones in my personal life. You were my best friend. I will forever miss our nightly conversations, excursions to the auction, jaunts to the States, drives together completing shops and audits, your support in helping me rediscover my past and my extended family, the family dinners, all the holidays (Christmas, Birthdays, Mother's Day, and Easter) just to name a few. Even in the last days, when I would hold your hand, the strength you showed me was just unbelievable. For your last act, you chose the time to ensure that you spared your sons from the pain of being with you when you passed onto your next journey. I will treasure everything you have provided me, both tangible things but more importantly the life lessons and wisdom you have bestowed onto me. You never backed down from challenges, in fact you didn't even flinch. You took them head on and in stride. This is now the biggest challenge I will face. At this point I am not sure how I will be able to do it, but I will close my eyes and think of you. I know you will be there with me, and will guide me through it. You will be my Footsteps. I could go on forever, you hear me, you see me, you feel me and you will be with me through the rest of my life, starting with this difficult journey. Todd and I will be OK, as you know. We will support eachother through this horrific time for us both. I close this for now with a poem I was given: Your Mother Although you cannot hear her voice or see her smile no more, your mother walks beside you still just as she did before. She listens to your stories and she wipes away your tears; she wraps her arms around you and she understands your fears. It's just she isn't visible to see with human eye, but talk to her in silence and her spirit will reply. You'll feel the love she has for you - you'll hear her in your heart; she's left her human body but your souls will never part. Thank you Mom, and I will think of you each time I close my eyes. I love you.
