Obituary of Peter Mook
Peter Mook, born December 21, 1929, passed away peacefully at home on December 30, 2022 at the age of 93.
Loving husband to Beatrix "Bea" (nee Benschop) for almost 70 years, and father to Wilma Morrison and Ronald (Brenda) Mook. Cherished Grandpa and Papa to grandchildren Tamara (Tom) McSherry, Ryan Mook (Anita Sivyer), and Ashley Morrison; great-grandchildren Kaley Zolnierczyk (Tim Smith) and Liam McSherry; great-great-grandchildren Braxton and Mackenzie Smith. Peter is survived by two sisters and two brothers in Holland, along with many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by four sisters and three brothers.
Peter was born in Andijk, The Netherlands, and immigrated to Canada in 1952 with his brother, Jack. Both Peter and Bea were very proud to become Canadian citizens in 1964. Peter was an accomplished woodworker and worked as a cabinetmaker for many years. He enjoyed reading, jigsaw puzzles, and watching sports (especially baseball and football). Peter will be remembered as a gentle, kind, and giving man. He loved the Lord and his family above all else, and in his younger years he dedicated much time and effort to the church. He will be greatly missed.
A celebration of Peter's life will occur on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 from 6 - 8 pm at Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Rd., London. Prayers will be said at 7:45 pm by Pastor Rick Mann from Forest City Community Church East Campus. Cremation has taken place and no funeral service will be held. Donations to the CNIB or London Food Bank would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences can be expressed at www.evansfh.ca
