Obituary of Elva Mae Estergaard (nee Hansford)
Peacefully, with family by her side, in her 78th year, at Parkwood Hospital, on Monday, April 6, 2009. Loving wife of Don Darling, mother of Carrie (John) Ramsay, Linda (Mark) Holden & the late Ed Estergaard (2002) and mother-in-law of Dawn. Lovingly remembered by 12 grandchildren; James “BJ” (Jennie), Tammy, Sherri-Lee (Len), Carol-Lynn, Gerard (Melisa), David, Brandan, Chad (Colleen), Deidre (Ben), Chase, Carly & the late Shaun (2002); 15 great-grandchildren River, Zander, Vienna, Eayaira, McKinley, Myahna, Taylor, Auston, Kiara, Kirstyn (Rob), Samantha, Jordanne, Hunter, Teagan, Taya + 2 "on the way" and 1 great-great-granddaughter Kaydence. Dear sister of Alice (Ralph) Humphrey, Carl (Irene) Hansford & predeceased by sisters Jean & Doris and brothers Wilford & Gordon. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. Elva worked at University Hospital and will be remembered as the owner of Lambeth Subs, Donut Corner, Dundas Fast Foods and Don’s Rides & Concessions. At Elva’s request cremation has taken place and a Celebration of her life will take place at the Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Rd. (1 block east of Egerton), on Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. (Visitation from 1-2pm). Donations to the London Regional Cancer Centre, Memorial Boys & Girls Club or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
