Obituary of Geraldine "Jerry" Ruth Morgan
Geraldine “Jerry” Ruth Morgan (Gordon) passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, February 13, 2008 in her 72nd year. She is survived by the love of her life, for over 54 years, Gerald “Bud” Morgan. Jerry instilled her remarkable sense of humour and appreciation for the important things in life in her son Tom and daughter Pat who selflessly cared for her until the end, allowing her to remain in the comfort of her home as was her wish. Her kind and generous spirit will always be remembered by her son-in-law Jim and daughter-in-law Sue. Grandchildren Josh, Brandy (Andrew), Kayla & Jake Skellet, Morgan Fairweather & Bryan Morgan (Laura) will cherish memories of weekends at the cottage, long days at the beach, bingo & shopping trips with Grandma. Great-grandchildren Keyra, Bladen & Prestyn were blessed to have GG in their lives if only for a little while. Jerry is survived by her sisters Betty, Pat & Dorothy and sister-in-law Betty Morgan. Predeceased by sisters Maureen, Doreen & brother Hank. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Logan, Mark Fairweather and the V.O.N. Palliative Care team for their excellent care. Friends will be received at the Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Rd. (1 block east of Egerton), on Thursday, February 14, 2008, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held in the Evans Chapel on Friday, February 15, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Interment in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Donations in Jerry’s memory to the London Regional Cancer Centre, c/o London Health Sciences Foundation, would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
