Obituary of Edna Mary Willis (nee Daly)
Peacefully after a courageous battle with Cancer on Tuesday, June 23rd, 2009 at Parkwood Hospital, Edna Mary Willis (nee Daly) in her 67th year. Beloved wife of the late Clifford Lloyd Willis (2005). Dearly loved mother of Ryan and his wife Tiffany and dearest Nanny to Benjamin and Jonathan. Sadly missed by her 3 brothers and 2 sisters; Dan (Sheila) of St. Mary’s Bay, Newfoundland, Magdalen (Gary) of London, Ontario, Geraldine (Ron) of London, Ontario, Clarence (Glenda) of Trinity Bay, Newfoundland and Tom (Dianne) of London, Ontario. Dear brother-in-law of Rex “Dusty” (Jan) of Melbourne, Ontario. Loved niece of Aunt Bertha (Jim) and Uncle Tom (Elaine), both of Conception Bay South, Newfoundland. Survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. Also Sadly missed by her very special friends Joyce, Keith and Murray. Edna was a longtime member of the Ladies Auxiliary, A.N.A.F. # 393. Friends will be received at the Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Rd. (1 block east of Egerton St.) on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. with The Rev’d Canon Sam Thomas officiating. Interment in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Cremation has taken place. A service under the auspices of the Ladies Auxiliary # 393 will be held in the chapel Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. Donations to Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
