Obituary of Lidia Nunes Alves

Peacefully, at her residence on Saturday, August 22, 2009, Lidia Nunes Alves of London in her 75th year. Re-United in heaven with her husband Alfredo Paiva Alves (2004). Dearly loved mother of Maria and her husband Karl Hoesterey, of London and Lydia Fuller and her partner Dave Guite of Salford. Cherished and sadly missed “Ava” to Justine, Kirsten, Corey, Kyle, Jacob and Joshua. Dear sister of Maria Freitas and her late husband Caetano, Carlos Vieira and his wife Maria, Francisco and his wife Noamia, the late Joe Vieira and his wife Etelvina, the late Carlos Vieira and his wife Deolinda and the late Noel Vieira. Lidia will be missed by her many relatives, friends and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Rd. (1 block east of Egerton St.) on Thursday from 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. Prayers will be held in the chapel at 8:30 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday, August 28, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Graham Keep officiating. Interment in St. Peters Cemetery. Donations to Canadian Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated.
