Obituary of James Douglas Simmons

Unexpectedly, at the Dearness Home, on Thursday, December 31, 2009, Jim passed away in his 74th year. Friend & husband of the late Audrey Marshall. Beloved father of Denise, Margaret, Stephen (Maureen), Jacqueline, Peter & the late Dale Simmons (2006). Dear grandfather of Joseph, Brian, Robbie, Robyn, Joshua, Shawn, Stacey, Stephanie and great-grandfather of Lilith & Ashley. Brother of Betty (Allen), Jack (Mary), Frances (Don), Sharon (Bob) and their families. Funeral service will be held at the Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Rd. (1 block east of Egerton), on Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. (Visitation 1 hour prior to service). Interment in Woodland Cemetery. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
