Obituary of Edward Thomas Horton

Peacefully & Courageously into God’s hands at L.H.S.C. Victoria Hospital on Friday, April 9th, 2010 in his 89th year. Loving husband of 57 years of Janet. Cherished father of Karen (Nick) Restifo and Robert (Mary Kay) Horton. Loving and adored grandfather of Adam, Carolyn and Lindsay Horton. Left to mourn his loss are his sister-in-laws Betty Horton and Olive Hawkins and many nieces and nephews. Always missed by his special niece DeDe Ford. Predeceased by daughter Susan (1959), brother Ernie (2004) and sister Jossie (1996). Friends will be received at Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Rd. (1 block east of Egerton St.) on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at St. Paul’s Cathedral, 472 Richmond St. (at Queens Ave.) on Wednesday, April 14th, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. with Father David Giffen officiating. A private family interment in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Donations to Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly acknowledged by the family.
