Obituary of Raymond Keith Pettitt
Peacefully, on Wednesday, June 1, 2011, Ray Pettitt in his 80th year, passed away at Parkwood Hospital, London. Beloved husband and best friend for 61 years to May (2010). Dear father of Lynda Davis & her husband Rick of Barrie and Steven Pettitt & his wife Karan of London. Beloved grandfather to Lori Sashegyi, Alicyn Pettitt & Jordan (Jude) Pettitt all of London. Dear papa to Gillian (2001), Isabel & Sophie Sashegyi. Dear brother to Amy Davies, Sylvia (Wayne) Buan & Jimmy (Audrey) Pettitt. Brother-in-law of the late Doreen Brownlee, Phil & Bob Giles.
Ray was a 40 year employee of the City of London and longtime member of Victory Branch #317 Legion.
Friends will be received at the Evans Funeral Home , 648 Hamilton Road, London on Friday from 2-4 &7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held in the Evans Chapel on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Paul Browning of Trinity United Church officiating. Interment in Zion Cemetery, 7th concession, Thamesford.
Donations to the Royal Canadian Legion, Victory Branch #317, or the Children’s Wish Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
