Obituary of Gordon William Jackson
Peacefully, after a short illness, on Wednesday, January 22, 2014, Gord passed away in his 86th year. Loving husband of the late Bertha (2005). Dear father of Gordon, Marilyn, Judy (Bill), Pete, Paul, Tim & Joe (Mary). Loving grandfather of many grandchildren & great-grandchildren. Predeceased by daughter Dianne, parents Clarence & Veda. Beloved brother of Donna & Dave and predeceased by siblings Glen, Nina, Elaine, Lorne, Bert, Howard, Verlyn & Lynda. Also survived by many nieces, nephews & friends.
Gord was a Life Member of the Loyal Order of Moose #1300 and will be remembered as the bartender at the Flying Horse & Abbey Hotel.
Visitation at the Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Rd. (1 block east of Egerton), on Sunday 6-9 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, 1980 Trafalgar St. E. (east of Clarke Rd.), on Monday, January 27, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. with Father John Comiskey officiant. Interment in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
