Obituary of Harold Bankes
Peacefully, surrounded by family on Monday, October 3, 2022 at LHSC, Victoria Hospital, Harold Bankes passed away at the age of 81.
Beloved husband of 58 years to the late Joan Bankes (2021). Loving father of Jim (Nicola), Jeff (Gillian) and Julieann. Fondly remembered by his grandchildren Alex, Stephanie, Emily (Jon), Sara and Jordan. Greatly missed by his dearest great grandchildren Noah and Addi. Also missed by his brother Ed (Wendy) Bankes, and by his in-laws Marilynn Bankes and Gar Hart. He was predeceased by his siblings John Bankes and Marie Hart.
Harold enjoyed both coaching and watching baseball and hockey, and loved all things race cars.
Friends will be received at the EVANS FUNERAL HOME, 648 Hamilton Rd., (1 block east of Egerton St.), on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 from 7-9 p.m.
Funeral service will be held in the EVANS CHAPEL on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service.
Interment in Dorchester Union Cemetery.
Donations to a charity of choice would be appreciated.
