Obituary of George Frederick Davis
On January 15th, 2021, George Davis passed away in his 95th year.
Predeceased by his wife Evelyn Davis (nee Butcher) in 2004 and his parents William and Mabel Davis. Brother of (Ernest) Davis, (Marion) & (Russ) Kilbourn, (Roy) Davis, (Dorothy) Davis, Eileen (Gord) Smith, Jack & Laurie Davis and Jean (Don) Benjamin. Loving father of Alan, (Bill) & Karen, (Wayne) Brenda, (Thomas), Gary & Brenda, Brian, Brenda & Brian and Steven. Grandfather to many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and predeceased by 3 grandchildren.
George was a Canadian Armed Forces Veteran for 27 years and a security guard at the Ford Manufacturing plant in St. Thomas, Ontario for over 25 years. After retiring, he started his own scrap metal business from home until the time of his death. He donated to Teen Challenge, Sick Children's Hospital and numerous other charities. George was involved with the First Church of the Nazarene and was a great friend of Rev. Junior Sorzano. He was a lover of nature that fed the stray cats so they wouldn't eat the birds in the yard and he loved his dog Mugsy. George always attended family celebrations, as well as local hockey tournaments and enjoyed regular conversations with his sisters.
