Obituary of Anthony Drakos

At McCormick Home on Thursday, December 7, 2006, Anthony Drakos, beloved husband of the late Florence Drakos (2003) and father of the late Anna Stackhouse (2005). Survived by his children Eva Petrov (Larry), Demetrius (Dorian), Christopher (Laurie) and Mark (Ingrid), 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Tony was born in Greece, joined the Royal Greek Navy and served with the British Royal Navy during World War II when he met and married his wife Florence in England. They emigrated to Canada in 1953. He was employed by Canadian Pacific Railways until retirement in 1983. Friends will be received at the Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas St. (between Waterloo and Colborne St.) on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 131 Southdale Road W. on Monday, December 11, 2006 at 1 pm with Father Elias Drossos officiating. Interment Oakland Cemetery.
