Obituary of Athena Eleftheroglou (Kalopisis)
Athena passed away peacefully at her residence December 31, 2006 with her family at her side. Predeceased by her loving father Chris and her brother Argiri. Forever loved and missed by her mother Georgia. Cherished by her dear children Michael (Jennifer) Lefteris and Sophia (Nick Kalas) and her precious grandchildren Ethan, Ashton and Grace. Loved by her dear siblings Thoula (Lucas Pilitsis) and George (Cathy) Kalopsis. Dearly missed by her nieces and nephews Sophia (Tom Arnos), Chris (Caiti) Kalopsis, Peter Pilitsis and Michael Kalopsis. Athena was a devoted teacher for 37 years. She touched the lives of many with her sense of humour and positive attitude and was an inspiration to all. Also survived by many other relatives and close friends. Family and friends will be received at the Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas St. (between Waterloo and Colborne St.), London, Tuesday, January 2nd, 2007 from 2-4 pm & 7-9 pm. Prayers will take place Tuesday, January 2nd, 2007 at 8 pm.. Funeral service will be held at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 133 Southdale Road, London, on Wednesday January 3rd, 2007 at 11 am. with Father Elias Drossos officiating. Interment will take place at Woodland Cemetery. Donations can be made to a charity of your choice in memory of “Athena”. Condolences can be epxressed at www.loganfh.ca .
