Obituary of Emily (Milio) Efstathiou
1938 -2021
Unexpectedly at Woodstock General Hospital, Woodstock, Ontario, The Lord called Emily (Milio) Efstathiou home, in her 83rd year.
This gentle, loving, caring and wonderful women has left a permanent mark etched on our hearts and will be supremely missed.
Wife of the her late beloved husband Michael Efstathiou (1999). Beloved mother of Tasos (Sharon) and Greg (Bessie). She is a proud and loving grandmother of Mikkel, Athena and Amelia. She cherished her role of Grandmother.
Family was the pivotal essence of Emily’s life. She was proud and honoured to be a wife, mother, grandmother. She has been a major presence in the lives of her children and grandchildren.
Born in Sparti (Paleopanagia), Greece and immigrating to Canada in 1957, Emily spent her life very blessed with her Greek Orthodox faith and as a hardworking, dedicated, faithful and loving wife, and mother.
She was predeceased by her beloved parents Kostas and Paraskevi Mandrapilias, her late brothers Vasilis Mandrapilias, Louis Mandrapilias (Pinelope), George Mandrapilias (Metaxia), late sisters Panagiota Manousos (Stavro), Dimitra Kratimenous (Dimitris). Brother/Sister-in-laws Peter (Elizabeth) Efstathiou, Dino (Mary) Efstathiou, Kostas (Fannie) Tsiaras, Pat (George) Filippeos. She will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, cousins and many good friends.
The family would like to thank her family doctor for the great care and all the health care professionals who comforted and cared for her last days. Emily (Milio) will be Sadly and deeply missed and forever remembered for her affection for her family and grandchildren, her beautiful smile, gentle eyes, caring and warm heart, loving embrace and unconditional love.
Although our hearts are heavy, we will celebrate her life and find comfort that she is in heaven watching over us.

Due to Covid Restrictions, a Private Family Funeral Service will be held at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 131 Southdale Road W., London, ON, with a Private Family interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery.
Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
