It is with much sadness that our family announces the passing of a beloved wife and deeply cherished mother, Catherine (Katerina) Buzanis in her 79th year on Monday, July 24, 2006 at LHSC Victoria Hospital after a courageous and valiant struggle with cancer. Also survived by her brother Nick Barkoulis of Athens, Greece. Predeceased by her parents Sophia and George Barkoulis of Partheni, Greece. Also predeceased by her brothers, Eleftheris, Theodoros and Constantinos and her sisters Eleftheria and Georgina. Mom will be sadly missed by many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Catherine was a member of the Greek community of London and will be sadly missed by many dear friends and neighbours. Our mother was also affectionately known as Mrs. B. to many of the neighbourhood children for many years. Our mother was the soul and spiritual strength of our family.
