Obituary of Robert Cecil "Rob" Campbell
Peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family, and following a long battle with Cancer, Rob Campbell passed away on October 16, 2021, at the age of 77.
He leaves behind the love of his life for 53 years, Sue Campbell. Left to mourn with broken hearts are his daughter Yvette (Jeremy) Locke, and his dear grandchildren Jonah and Paige who will love him always. Also left to mourn are his sisters Betty (Bruce) Tait, and Judy (Kevin) Smith, and many extended family members.
Rob was a high jumper and still holds the pole vault record at his former high school in West Lorne. He loved to tell jokes and made everything fun for those around him.
The serious side of him was always positive, never complained, exhibited compassion and respect. He lived his life always trying hard to do what was right and taught his family to care about people and love animals. Rob spent many years teaching ballroom dancing, and was the founder of wheelchair dancing in Ontario. He spent his life serving others through volunteer work and was a school board trustee for 8 years.
"Dad always went above and beyond. His energy and warmth touched the lives of everyone he met."
As per Rob's wishes, cremation has taken place, and will be interred at a later date. Those wishing to make a memorial donation in Rob's name are asked to consider the LHSC Cancer Program.
