Obituary of Mary "Bernice" Baltare
Peacefully, on March 10th, 2020, Bernice passed away at the age of 98.
Loving wife of the late Bill Baltare (1988). Loving mother of Carl (Judy), Gary (Ruth), Marlene (Ray), Marilyn (Mark), Gordon, Michelle (Eric) Schramowsky & predeceased by daughter Anne Costello (2001). Fondly remembered by Martin and Martha. Cherished Grandma to 14 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, & 1 great-great grandson. Predeceased by brothers Ted, George, and Gordon Dilts, and sister Patricia Roberts.
Bernice will also be remembered as a devoted nurse who treasured her career and the patients she cared for as a young nurse at Westminister Hospital during WWII and the following years at St. Mary's Hospital in London.
Visitation will be held at the Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Road, (1 block east of Egerton St.) on Sunday, March 15th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 1251 Dundas Street, London at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 16th. Interment to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the staff at PeopleCare Oakcrossing for the care and compassion given to Mom over the last few years.
