Obituary of Betty Isabelle Prevett (nee Gammon)
On Thursday, May 6, 2021, Betty Isabelle Prevett (nee Gammon) passed from her family's loving arms into the loving arms of her Heavenly Father. The past 87 years have been filled with unforgettable moments and memories, from serving in her beloved church family, camping, sports, and trips to visit family. On February 11, 1956, Betty married Ted Prevett in West Lorne, Ontario. Together they raised two children, Sharon and Wayne.
Betty was deeply devoted to her faith, her family and her friends. She enjoyed the eternal beauty of God's creation, with a fondness for flowers and birds. Betty is remembered by many for her kindness, hospitable and welcoming spirit to everyone she met, beautiful smile, and laughter. Her family shared endless memories of lovingly prepared meals that often included apple and lemon meringue pies. Betty loved to sing and passed on her love for music to her children and grandchildren.
Betty is survived by her husband Ted of London, ON, children Sharon Bloomfield and her husband Paul, and Wayne Prevett and his wife Rosanne. Betty was a loving big sister to her brother Allan Gammon and his wife Cheryl, sister Shirley Kenny, and sister-in-law Candy McManiman. Betty loved her five grandchildren, Julie Bloomfield-Amos and her husband Phillip Amos, Scott Bloomfield and his wife Carley Drye-Bloomfield, Luke Prevett and his wife Ashley, Alyssa Prevett, and Michaela Prevett. Betty also loved her three great-grandchildren Mya and Caleb Prevett, and Hudson Amos. She is predeceased by her brothers-in-law Tony Kenny and Paul Prevett.
Her family would like to thank the staff at Westmount Gardens and Oak Crossings for their care and kindness to Betty.
