Obituary of Andreas (Andy) Karamoutzos

Peacefully in his 82nd year, surrounded by his family at home, Andreas Karamoutzos, went to be with the lord on September 22, 2020. Loving husband to Eleftheria Karamoutzos of 53 years, and father to Maria (Nick Macris) Sam and Gina (Chris Doris). Cherished grandfather to Alexia, Stefani and Iliana Doris, and Lia, Alex and Michael Macris. Dear brother of late Panayioti (Eleni), Fotios (Maria), late Panagoula Livaditis (Nikolaos), and Kosta (late Despina). Beloved brother-in-law of Georgia Kalantzis (Gus) and late Antonia Gkroustiotis (Yianni) and will be missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends globally. Born in Karya, Greece, Andreas left his homeland and family in pursuit of a dream. With faith and courage, he immigrated to Toronto where he met his wife, Eleftheria, and together they built a life, not only for their own family, but for his extended family also. His entrepreneurial spirit and drive helped establish a brighter future for many. Andreas enjoyed a long and successful career in the restaurant business. He loved what he did, never forgetting a face or a name, and always so friendly. Andreas will always be remembered for his smile, laughter, positive outlook on life, his love for his family and friends and his generous and giving spirit. He will be greatly missed. Funeral Service will be held at the HOLY TRINITY GREEK ORTHODOX CHURCH, 131 Southdale Road W., London, ON on Friday, September 25, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. Private burial to follow at Woodland Cemetery. *NOTE*: As per the directive of the Bereavement Authority of Ontario, to ensure safety and minimize potential spread of COVID-19, attendance numbers will be restricted and masks are mandatory.
